Pastor Chris Gordon preaches on Revelation 21, John's vision of the holy city coming down out of heaven. Heaven is hard to describe with words, so Scripture uses symbolic language to point us to something greater than we can imagine. The whole New Testament pushes believers toward this hope. For the Christian, death is not the loss of life but an entrance into eternal life. Like Abraham, we look for a better city whose builder and maker is God. Every city of man belongs to Babylon, but the heavenly Jerusalem is the city we belong to.
