In this opening sermon on the apocalyptic section of Daniel, Pastor Chris Gordon walks through Daniel's terrifying night vision of four great beasts rising from a stirred-up sea. Unlike Nebuchadnezzar's statue vision in Daniel 2, this vision is given from earth's perspective — for the exile people of God living in the lion's den of this world. The beasts portray the kingdoms of this earth turned beastly in their power, and the little horn who speaks pompous words against the Most High reveals the spirit of antichrist that wears out the saints "for a time, times, and half a time" — the whole character of the age between Christ's first and second comings.
